I searched YouTube for a walkthrough, and found the note on there. Using that hint, he figured it out, but I was determined to find out what was going on. The actual game hints provided with MYST ME asked for the player to turn them all ON first. Searching what the notes say on the internet told us that you're supposed to put all the switches to the "on", but a Google image search shows the note itself commanding the player to switch them off. "What?" I said, "No, you have to put them all to the on position first." We looked at the note, and it definitely said to put them all to the off position put everything to the off position and then the one at the dock. He said he put all the marker switches to the off position, then went to the dock and put that one to the off position, and nothing happened. I told him to just read the note, but he said he did. He got to the end where you have to get the page for Atrus, and he was using the notes he put together from Channelwood and Stoneship. So my brother is playing MYST for the first time, and we're using the Masterpiece Edition. This is so ridiculous but I have no idea what's going on here.
